The hugely popular Viaër Marchi, hosted by National Trust of Guernsey on the first Monday in July, heralds the start of the Guernsey Summer season. Showcasing traditional island crafts, favourite foods, music and dancing, this is a gathering enjoyed by generations of islanders and return visitors since the 1970s.
The spirit of Lé Viaêr Marchi is captured by Channel Island Cooperative Society’s film (seen here) shot in 2019 when the event celebrated its 50 year anniversary.
