Come celebrate Mabon – the autumn equinox and midpoint between light and dark.
La Fête des Bêtes is back to celebrate Mabon, the autumn equinox and midpoint between light and dark. Join us for a weekend of unbeatable world music, contemporary folk and trad music.
Bringing back the sound of last year’s Orkney Island Games, Friday night sees brilliant trad outfit GNOSS take to the stage, followed by the genre bending An Dannsa Dub, and their fusion of mystical energy, instruments of traditional Scottish music and Gaelic song, with the heavy, meditative, driving basslines of dub music.
On Saturday there will be no time to put away the dancing shoes as we invite back Manchester based Chimera to lead on the ceilidh with more acts to be announced soon.
Do not miss out the chance to dance away the final days of summer before the leaves turn to rust and the nights draw to darkness!
Friday Main Stage:
An Dannsa Dub
GNOSS
The Basement Preachers
Saturday Main Stage:
Chimera (Ceilidh)
Gonzo Gypsy Goodtime Band
The Cor Damme Lars
Le Comptoir Guernsey will be serving food throughout the event.
