Guernsey’s only railway is a delight for the whole family – an enjoyable and gentle train journey through part of the woodland at Saumarez Manor. Over the quarter of a mile loop the train passes a selection of cuddly toys that delight younger passengers.
The train runs on weekends (10:00-16:00) from Easter to October – weather permitting – and daily during the school summer holidays.
For the enthusiasts;
the engine is a BR class 25 outline 7¼” gauge 4-4wPH named ‘Remus’ that was a home build by a Mr T. Leigh in 1989. The Sausmarez Manor Miniature Railway line opened in 1985 and was further extended a little later.
