Join the National Trust of Guernsey’s heritage spinners on the Courtyard at the Folk and Costume Museum for a series of relaxed, hands-on demonstrations throughout 2026.
Whether you’re curious about taking up a new hobby, eager to learn a traditional skill, or simply enjoy watching craftspeople at work, these mornings offer a wonderful glimpse into the island’s textile heritage — all set within our beautiful museum surroundings.
Demonstrations take place on Thursdays, 10am–12pm on the following dates:
16 April, 28 May, 18 June, 16 July & 17 September
If the weather is unfavourable, the demonstrations will move indoors so you can still enjoy the experience in comfort. Everyone is welcome – these events are free and the courtyard is access-friendly.
Come along, discover something new, and enjoy the gentle rhythm of a timeless craft, with always a warm welcome.
