Following the Unplugged: Raising a Smartphone free Generation event, Smartphone Free Childhood Guernsey is running a free, drop-in Alternative Showcase. You do not need to have attended the talks – just turn up.
Children can get hands-on with some of the most exciting safe technology available including:
Xplora One – a child-sized phone with no internet, no social media and no apps
Karri – a screenless voice messenger, like a modern walkie-talkie
Mighty – a screenless, pocket-sized music player
Brick – a physical device to help older children manage smartphone use
Sure will be showcasing the HMD Fuse and Nokia 110, plus practical advice on plans and parental controls
JT will have practical guidance on locking down existing devices, routers with parental controls, and child phone options
Plus a prize draw with several products to win, donated by their generous partners.
