SUMMARY:Liberation Day at L'Eree
DESCRIPTION:The Parish of St Pierre du Bois is hosting another fabulous Liberation Day celebration for the island community\, with a party for everyone! Head to L’Eree common\, beach and roadside to celebrate 80 years of freedom from the occupying forces.\n\nThe full and varied programme will have something for everyone\, with remembrance\, education and celebration in equal measure. The full schedule will be released in April\, once finalised. The event remains free of charge for all activities and entertainment\, thanks to generous sponsors.\n\nFrequent day and night buses will be available this year and plenty of cycle spaces plus there’ll be big screen live streaming of the key events in St Peter Port\, including the morning parade\, cavalcade and fireworks.\n\nJoin for the People’s Service of Thanksgiving at 10am\, followed by the popular traditional 1940’s singing\, film screenings\, occupation interviews\, rolling images\, photographic memorabilia and a People’s Parade that’s open to everyone! There’ll be much fun provided for the children all day too\, both on the beach and common. Live music all day and evening\, breaking for the essential veg\, cheese & meat draw!
